Bonjour tout le monde! Je m'appelle Mary et je suis en France pour le semestre. Kelly, Shelby, and I thought that by creating this blog, we could show all of our friends at UVA, families, and anyone who is interested our stories and experiences over these next five months in Europe. With the adventures we've had in Charlottesville, you can bet that we will have some interesting experiences in Paris, Edinburgh, and Copenhagen. C'est moi, Kelly, et Shelby ici:
I currently live in an apartment on the left bank and in the 14th arrondissement of Paris (one of twenty) with a roommate Sydney. There are about 20 other girls and one boy from our program living in this building as well, all on different floors and living with real French people! I can't help but smile when I run into a Parisian in the elevator with a baguette in one hand and a coffee in the other. C'est mon appartement, along with the snippy dog that likes to pretend he is protecting the building:
The apartment is a five minute walk from two different metro stops and there is a tram that runs every few minutes down Boulevard Brune. In effect, we can be pretty much anywhere in Paris within 30 minutes. Here are some of my pictures from my first week in Paris!
I have many stories coming your way shortly, bonne journee!!
bijoux bijoux, Mary
